When Allegra was visiting Tokyo, she developed a strong interest in \u201csalaryman (Japanised English meaning businessman)\u201d&nbsp; after she was struck by the sight of them lying on the street, drunk and asleep in their suits. She has been conducting research on salarymen for a long period of time, frequently visiting Tokyo for exhibitions and artist-in-residence programs, such as Arts Initiative Tokyo [AIT\/8] in Daikanyama in 2013 and PARADISE AIR in Matsudo in 2016. After interviewing more than 100 salaryman, the feature-length documentary film &#8220;Salaryman&#8221; was finally completed in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allegra\u2019s artist talk will be held along with the screening (approx. 80 min.). She works in a variety of mediums, including photography, painting, drawing, and installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2012, she presented &#8220;Boobs,&#8221; an installation of breast-shaped soft sculptures created in collaboration with women working under harsh conditions in La Carpio, an immigrant neighborhood in Costa Rica, and in 2013, she was invited by the Backers Foundation and the non-profit organization Arts Initiative Tokyo ( In 2013, he participated in an artist-in-residence program in Tokyo at the invitation of the Backers Foundation and Arts Initiative Tokyo (AIT), and held a two-person exhibition at Yamamoto Gendai, as well as &#8220;Boobs in Japan&#8221; at Gallery MoMo Projects, a reconstruction of his project in Costa Rica in Tokyo. She has since had a series of solo exhibitions at LAMB LONDON (UK, 2015) and Vienti4\/siete Gallery (Costa Rica, 2018).
