These texts can include written and visual materials related to various cultures and social practices. In this seminar, Dr. Pan will share how she, as a Cultural Studies scholar, utilizes a range of historical and contemporary texts, along with relevant critical theories and concepts, to define her research objectives and methods. She will present two of her own research projects, namely the Asian Art Archives and her research related to Hainan Island, as case studies for sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. PAN Lu<\/strong> is Associate Professor at Department of Chinese History and Culture, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.\u00a0 Dr. Pan&#8217;s research interests cover a wide range of topics in Cultural Studies, with a focus on visual culture, city, media, memory and island.
