Global Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts<br><strong>Language<\/strong>: English<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This performative lecture will reflect on how the unique experience of elder citizens, who are rather marginalized in the contemporary creative scene, could be harvested in a framework of independent, research-based art practices.<br>From the perspective of Sustainable Development Goals, ranging from Zero Hunger to Good Health and Well Being to Quality Education to Reduced Inequalities and eventually to Responsible Consumption and Production, the presentation will touch on issues like individual vulnerability, social awareness and public responsibility.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, in the context of current demographic challenges, particularly visible after 2019, looking into Piotr\u2019s approach to inclusiveness and mutual care will also suggest how such methodology can expand alternative anthropological field-work apparatus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event shall commence with Bujak<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/culture.pl\/en\/artist\/piotr-bujak\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/culture.pl\/en\/artist\/piotr-bujak<\/a> <br>Polish interdisciplinary artist and independent researcher born in 1982. Graduate of Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland (MFA 2009), San Francisco Art Institute, California, USA (MFA 2012) and Tama Art University, Tokyo, Japan (PhD 2022). As a Fulbright fellow he studied with Lynn Hershman Lesson, Renee Green and Stephanie Syjuco. As a MEXT student was affiliated with Akihito Kubota. Currently employed as a JSPS postdoctoral researcher in the Yoshitaka Mouri lab at the School of Global Arts of Tokyo University of the Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested mainly in cross-cultural, comparative analysis about identity, politics, media and cultural heritage, he bridges practice-based art research with experimental anthropology and social critique.
