Extending from the intimacy of his bedroom to the collective space of the dancefloor, it weaves a narrative that provides a testimony to his existence and the collective memory of his surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>In a context where certain voices are permitted and encouraged to the detriment of others that are silenced, rendered invisible\u2014made undetectable\u2014Th\u00e9ophylle constructs this archive as a gesture of affirmation, resistance, and emancipation. Drawing on themes such as non-normative sexual practices, queer existence, and HIV-positivity, the assemblage of his works poses the question: how do we survive within the normative regimes without abandoning our yearnings?<br \/>\nWithin the space of Datsuijo, Th\u00e9ophylle Dcx\u2019s installations, drawings, texts, and videos come together to create an intimate environment, where his emotional life becomes a starting point for collective reflection on survival and identity, love and desire.
