English-Japanese consecutive interpretation to be provided.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1958\" src=\"http:\/\/geidai-ga.warpjapan.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/01covers.png\" alt=\"01covers.png\" width=\"625\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Frieze is a media and events company that comprises three publications, <em>frieze<\/em> magazine, <em>frieze d\/e<\/em> magazine, <em>Frieze Masters Magazine<\/em> and <em>Frieze Week<\/em>; and three international art fairs, <em>Frieze London<\/em>, <em>Frieze New York<\/em> and <em>Frieze Masters<\/em>; a year-round program of courses and talks at <em>Frieze Academy<\/em>, and <em>frieze.com<\/em> &#8211; the definitive resource for international contemporary art and culture. Frieze was founded in 1991 by Amanda Sharp, Matthew Slotover and Tom Gidley with the launch of <em>frieze<\/em> magazine, a leading magazine of contemporary art and culture. \u00a0<em>Frieze Academy<\/em> was launched in 2016, with various programs taking place in London, New York and Berlin, one of which is a one-day workshop series \u201cHow to Write about Art\u201d. The day-long lecture provides practical and inspiring advice from a range of internationally-renowned art critics and editors about how to respond to a work of art, review a show or profile an artist and more.<\/p>\n<p>The TUA lecture is a condensed, two-hour version of the lecture and will draw on Jennifer HIGGIE\u2019s 20-year-experience as a writer and editor. It will cover a range of topics such as pitching an idea to an editor, which publication to write for, and what editors are looking for. The lecture will be the first <em>Frieze Academy<\/em> lecture in Japan and will be conducted in English via Skype connecting London and Tokyo.\u00a0Translations into Japanese will be offered to by the Hostess\/Moderator.<\/p>\n<p>Open to all the students and faculty members of TUA and the general public from outside of the University. Her texts frequently have appeared in <em>frieze<\/em> and <em>Frieze Masters.<\/em> Her publication includes a novel <em>Bedlam<\/em> (Berlin and New York: Sternberg Press, 2006), a children\u2019s picture book <em>There\u2019s Not One<\/em> (Scribe Publications, 2016) and a screenplay for the feature film <em>I Really Hate My Job<\/em> (Dir.
