We will also invite Prof. Fumiya Onaka.<br \/>\nAuditors from other Departments are all welcome.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><strong>\uff0aNo booking required. The lecture will be delivered in English.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong> Friday, May 18, 2018<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 16:20-17:50<br \/>\n<strong>Venue:<\/strong> Lecture Room 5-409, Department of Music, Ueno Campus, Tokyo University of the Arts<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1958\" src=\"http:\/\/geidai-ga.warpjapan.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Boonserm.png\" alt=\"Boonserm.png\" width=\"450\" height=\"675\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lecture Abstract:<\/strong><br \/>\nMor Lam is one of the traditional arts of the Tai-Lao ethnic group. At present, the left bank of the Mekong River is Lao PDR, and the right bank is Northeast Thailand. Mor Lam still exists, and continues to be inherited and developed enormously. Even though many different local and international performing arts groups have been active in Northeast Thailand, Mor Lam is still alive and continues to be transmitted in various parts of the country. Over time, it has acquired more acceptance as a means of expression in areas where the Isan people have settled and go about their livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p>The topics to be covered in this lecture include:<\/p>\n<p>1. A history of Mor Lam<br \/>\n2. The evolution of Mor Lam<br \/>\n3. Types of Mor Lam<br \/>\n4. Acting in the present<br \/>\n5. Roles of Mor Lam in various aspects of life<br \/>\n&emsp;5.1 Roles in the arts<br \/>\n&emsp;5.2 Roles related to education<br \/>\n&emsp;5.3 Roles related to society<br \/>\n&emsp;5.4 Roles related to politics<br \/>\n6. The current status of Mor Lam.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Profile:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Wannasakpijitr Boonserm<\/strong><br \/>\nDr. Wannasakpijitr Boonserm, born in 1959 in Maha Sarakham, has conducted various researches on cultural diversity, biological diversity, and cultural environment. He graduated Srinakharinwirot University, Prasarnmitr Campus, Bangkok, finished Master of Arts Program in Thai Studies from Srinakharinwirot University, Mahasarakham Campus, and finally obtained Doctor of Philosophy (Environmental Education) from Mahasarakham University by the dissertation titled: <em>The Development of Environmental Activities Conservation Using Green Poem for Students of Environmental Education Program<\/em>. Lecturer at Mahsarakham University, and the deputy dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies. Former vice-president of Mahasarakham University.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fumiya Onaka<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1958\" src=\"http:\/\/geidai-ga.warpjapan.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/onaka.png\" alt=\"onaka.png\" width=\"340\" height=\"239\" \/><br \/>\nFumiya Onaka, born in Kyoto in 1962, has been engaged in a series of intensive studies on local cultures in Thailand, South Korea, England, and Japan from the standpoint of comparative sociology. Professor at Japan Women\u2019s University. Ph.D.(Sociology).
