For example: to have an online presence is to be both anonymous and hyper-visible. Yet even as the demarcations between physical and digital identity become blurred, the emotional, temporal (i.e. past/future/memory), and intangible (i.e. unmanifested) realities of human existence are rendered invisible in both “real” and online realms. In presenting artworks that visualize the invisible, this exhibition will explore where we see (or think we see) traces of the invisible in its paradoxically visible manifestations. By interrogating how varying forms of invisibility have shifted how we relate to our surrounding environments, we aim to seek out what it truly means to “connect.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ARTISTS:
BIEN / Rintaro Fuse / Dina Gadia / Youki Hirakawa / Miyuki Inagaki / Ibuki Kaiyama / Lee Kit / Kanako Kitabayashi / Nile Koetting / LY / Kenta Nishimura / Lieko Shiga / Lim Sokchanlina / Yuki Tawada
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PREVIEW & OPENING RECEPTION:
Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Preview: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Reception: 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.
DJ: Nari(CYK)
Oura Shokudo, Tokyo University of the Arts (No reservations required / admission free)
Inquiry:
Faculty Room, Department of Arts Studies and Curatorial Practices, Graduate School of Global Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts
Office Hours (Ueno): 10:00-19:00 (Mon, Thu, Fri)
Tel (Ueno): ＋81-(0)50-5525-2725
Office Hours (Senju): 10:00～19:00 (Tue, Wed)
Tel (Senju): ＋81-(0)50-5525-2732
info-ga[at]ml.geidai.ac.jp

As a part of Professor Yuko Hasegawa’s course “Arts Studies and Curatorial Practices Seminar,” an exhibition curated by five students majoring in Curation of GA will be held, from March 21 to April 7, at the Chinretsukan Gallery, Tokyo University of the Arts…

[2
["post-6972","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-events-en","entry
["GET
