This project aims to form an unprecedented private-sector collective, with an SDGs perspective, and to use the power of art to solve social issues that have come to light in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, with art NPOs and organizations operating in the seven wards along the Sumida River at its core.

Meeting Arasumi! is a project that provides a place for learning and practice in cooperation with local governments that are working on cutting-edge examples, focusing on the “platform to promote local culture and the arts” and “formation of a platform to promote local cooperation and collaboration” set out in the Basic Plan for Promoting Culture and the Arts, which was formulated based on the provisions of the Basic Act on Culture and the Arts.

“&Geidai” is an arts management training course offered by the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Global Arts, with the theme of “Art Projects in the Global Era.” Using art projects carried out by Tokyo University of the Arts, current students, and alumni in three areas—Senju, Ueno-Yanaka, and Toride—as its practical field, the course aims to equip art managers skilled in local activity methods with an international perspective in an age that demands global exchange.
